- About eight months ago I purchased the "Infotel 9600 send/receive fax modem"
- from Midwest Micro Periferals. At the time it was the least expensive
- fax capable modem that I could find. The fax software that was included with
- the modem was (naturally) msdos. The modem sends and receives faxes just
- find from a PC I slapped together (for next to nothing) just to run the modem.
-
- Has anyone with this modem managed to get it to work with the Amiga? I tried
- a ShareWare program out of Austrailia called AmigaFax -- played with just
- about every possible combination of settings -- all to no avail.
-
- Although the modem was advertized as being the name brand "Infotel", there
- are no markings on the modem hinting of a manufacturing company. It just
- says "9600 F/X fax" across the front.
-
- Personally, I think the piece of software that came with it is somewhat
- lacking, and I HATE msdos.
