  66. The OS/2 netware requestor is available.  Call 1-800-UPDATE1 for it.  I 
  67. ordered it and received it after a 2-week wait (while it moved between 
  68. two companies for billing purposes).  It is _not_ buggy, in fact, I've 
  69. not had any problem with operating Fresh Technology's MODEM ASSIST 
  70. program in a VDM, either global or private.  Notework mail also works, 
  71. but only in a private VDM.

  73. The global VDM uses global settings, and is slightly off kilter with the 
  74. "total compatibility" issue.  A private VDM is entirely, 100% compatible. 
  75. Even the messages which are sent to a private vdm appear as a standared 
  76. Novell line (requiring ctrl-enter), whereas a global clears the screen 
  77. and puts the message in a neat blue box (which can be timed for removal, 
  78. disabled, or require <Escape> by supplying DDAEMON with a parameter.).

  80. As to your network interface, I use a Everex Speedlink PC/16, which is 
  81. not supported directly by the OS/2 requestor.  Instead, I was forced to 
  82. download this driver from their support BBS and it works just fine.  
  83. Incidentally, I used this driver under 1.3, and it fortunately worked 
  84. with 2.0 without a glitch.  It is my feeling that any network drivers 
  85. used under 1.3 will work under 2.0.
