- Actually, it is a feature of the Workplace Shell called a Workarea. Any folder
- can be a workarea (see the File tab, page one of the Settings). A work area
- has similar properties to the Desktop, in that any application opened from
- inside it will re-open when the workarea is opened (as long as it was running
- when the workarea was closed), and all object other than programs opened from
- a workarea will be closed when the workarea is closed.

- This is from memory, but is a pretty powerful feature of OS/2. In fact you
- can use it to provide some multi-user customizations (Have the desktop just
- contain the workarea objects for each person, then have the person's workarea
- contain all the objects they can use.
