- Can anyone clear up the question of how Windows NT will interact
- with other network operating systems? We are running a fairly
- typical Netware 386 ethernet network, with 3 file servers and
- over 100 386-based workstations. The question is, if we decide to
- run Windows NT as our network operating system (i.e. on the file
- servers) will it be possible to still run Netware 386 to handle
- file and print services? Is Windows NT supposed to completely
- replace all existing network operating systems (including Lan
- Manager, Banyan, Novell, etc) or does it coexist with them somehow,
- sort of the way Windows 3.1 coexists with MS-DOS?
-
- We have tried to get an answer to this question from both Microsoft
- and Novell, but so far have been unsuccessful. Any insight would be
- much appreciated.
