- I too have this problem. It seems that the problem lies both in the video
- card and the monitor. I think different video modes can cause the screen
- to shrink and grow. I have the problem on two differnt cards using two
- different chipsets (one is a S3 based Diamond Stealth, same chip as the 1280)
- On my el-cheapo 14", there is nothin I can do but adjust the screen. On my
- Viewsonic 7 17" digital monitor, the monitor has the ability to store
- different resolution sizes in memory and hence when the video card switches
- modes,the monitor adjusts automatically. When I goe to interlaced mode, I
- can definately tell the difference, especially in white areas. I cannot
- use the monitor for more than 15 minutes without taking a break for eye
- strain.
