  26. I had payrolls to get out thirty years ago when I started as a programmer. I get
  27. the impression that although the technology has improved (courtesy of the
  28. research and academic community), people in commercial computing are still 
  29. struggling with the same problems that faced them when computing was still new and
  30. exciting. In other words "life changes" very little.
