- I am now the proud owner of a new SupraFaxModem (v32bis)
-
- It's working fine, and I can connect to every BBS with some tweaking
- of the AT settings.
-
- But when I try to connect to a friends identical Supra, I have problems.
-
- I'm dialling him, and he's answering with ATA when he gets RING.
-
- His modem picks up, and it starts cycling through carriers.
-
- We then get CONNECT 19200, and I get a whole load of garbage for 5 secs. Then
- the garbage stops, and it disconnects, saying NO CARRIER.
- At his end, he gets no garbage - just no carrier.
-
- We have tried MANY MANY variations of AT commands - e.g. %c0 %m0 \n \n1 \n2
- \n3 \n4 &f0 &f1 &f2.
-
- He's also tried ringing me, with similar effects. (He can get onto all the
- boards I can)
-
- I don't expect anyone to come up with a full explanation, because of the
- sketchy details I've given. But if anyone has experienced similar problems,
- I'd like to know. Here is the result of at&v. If you notice anything stupid,
- please tell me. My friend sets his modem up so he gets the same &v, but
- the same happens. Could someone mail me with THEIR &v, if they've got a
- supra-supra connection to work?
