- When BFJ first offered the modems for low cost they had *two* lists: (1)
- customers who had *prepaid* (and hence were "in front of") (2) those
- who just made an order but did not prepay. apparently they're backlog
- became so great that they stopped accepting prepayment (and, at about the
- same time, stopped giving preference to those who had prepaid). Thus I was
- indeed charged for the modem. And because this happened way back in April
- it's outside the 60 day period when I can straightforwardly get my money
- back from the card company. What I now need to do is to make a "good faith"
- effort to get my money or my modem from BFJ --- I'm trying to accomplish this
- by working through the Atlanta area BBB --- and if that fails then I can
- appeal to the card company, which should, after a review, return the $.
-
- Once again, I urge anyone in the same boat to call the Atlanta area BBB and
- file a complaint. They told me they would handle processing our claims against
- BFJ.
