  12.  Many people have discussed many different ways to try and "automagically"
  13. keep users from storing files in the jan_receive area.

  15. My experience is, you can't! Intelligent users will sooner or later discover
  16. this "FREE" storage area. Unfortunately, some also pass this information
  17. along to others.

  19.  I edited jan_sys:login.com to include the following message when users log
  20. in and files are found in the jan_receive area:

  23.    >> NOTE << - Files older than 15 days will be removed from the system!

  25.             Files stored in this RECEIVE area will be regarded
  26.             as part of your disk allocation. This may cause
  27.             them to be deleted from the system without notice.

  30. Every so often I check the jan_receive area and, if necessary, do some type
  31. of cleaning up in that directory.
