  35. George Carrette did one that converts the content of an extract/unseen to a
  36. news batch.  I'm currently using it to produce a read only gateway for the
  37. ISVNET notes files.  The source was posted to VMSNET.SOURCES.  I fixed a couple
  38. of small problems (it needed to be able to deal with mail headers) and passed
  39. the modified source back to George for reposting.

  41. The tools needed are:
  42.  
  43.         news-to-notes (vmsnet.sources)
  44.         deliver (ditto)
  45.         Notes Extractor, initial population of notes files (command procedure)
  46.         Notes Extractor, production tracking of notes files (command procedure)
  47.         Mail connection between extractor and gateway.

  49. The whole read only gateway took about 6 hours to put together, including a
  50. fair amount of hand holding to do the initial uploading of the ISVNET notes
  51. files.  If you want me to do it for you, let me know and I'll set it up.

  55. p.s. If you are working in "conjunction" with DEC, you might want to take a
  56. look at PAN (an internal production, Pete N Andy's notes tool) which might do
  57. yeoman's service for the other direction of the gateway.
