- Hi. I'm a system manager of a small cluster of VAX machines, with a file
- transfer problem involving dial-in users and KERMIT. We have KERMIT v.
- 3.0.051 running, and it seems to work fine from any networked machine that
- runs it. However, we are unable to use the protocol when calling in from
- an external source (modem). Best example is one of dialing in from a Mac
- to a gandalf gate and telnetting to the VAX. Running Kermit to download
- files from the VAX, I get a "no default terminal" message, and then no
- commands will work on Kermit. I can't even get it to accept a SET LINE
- command to define a terminal.

- Any suggestions are most appreciated. Please send correspondences via email.
