  17.  Practically any RWD four or six would work.  It'd be best to buy a
  18. whole wrecked car; that's usually much cheaper than trying to buy an
  19. engine and trans at a junkyard.  Call your insurance adjuster - they're
  20. a prime source.  <grin>

  22.  A 240/260/280 Nissan six from a Z car or Maxima would be good, or the
  23. Toyota six.  The Chevy 60 degree 2800 V6 from the S-10 pickup or F-car
  24. would also be good.  These engines are all available with 5-speed
  25. overdrive boxes, just the ticket for a sporty TR3.

  27.  I don't remember if the clutch on the TR is hydraulic, cable, or
  28. mechanical, but you could save some work if the one on the engine
  29. matched the car.
