- Good cold starting and poor hot starting often means an excessively rich
- mixture at idle or part throttle. If you smell gas then suspect a leak
- somewhere. Some carbs have construction which is prone to leaking from
- the bowl to the intake. If the choke doesn't open properly from gum or
- a messed up mechanism, that will also hurt.
