- I just got my alternator belt replaced and the new belt doesn't look like an
- ordinary belt. The inside part of it was notched on purpose. They were sort
- of semi-circular notches. Is this a new type of belt which increases traction?
-
- It's sort of the belt world's version of the ping-pong paddle with the tiny
- studs to increase the control or spin.
