- A few years ago I responded to a junk mail piece from this group (I'm
- nearly certain it was this organization). They asked for a writing
- sample to determine if I was fodder for their program. I sent a piece I
- had already published, without disclosing that fact. Their promise was
- that the sample would be thoroughly evaluated and an analysis sent to
- me.
-
- The resulting analysis was extremely thin and consisted mostly of
- assurances that I could be a first-rate-make-a-living-at-it writer if
- only I took their course. That was contained in two paragraphs of their
- four page reply. The rest was devoted to testimonials and financing
- options for their school.
-
- My advice is to steer clear.
