- I have one Sun running OS 4.1.1 which can mount a PC's drive C:
- when the PC is running SOSS. But, my SPARC 1+ running 4.1 can't.
- Why? It looks like the version of mount I'm running on one machine
- vs. the other. If I copy the /usr/etc/mount from the machine
- running 4.1.1 to the one running 4.1, everything works fine.
- Strings tells me that the 4.1.1 mount is vers. 2.94, versus 2.93
- on 4.1.
-
- Legal questions:
-
- 1) Am I allowed simply to copy the executable from
- one to the other, thereby solving my problem?
-
- 2) Assuming not, is there any source on the net for a freely
- distributable version of mount.c that's at least as good as
- Sun's vers. 2.94, and will work on 4.1?
-
- Thanks kindly,
-
