- I would like to make the CDROM on my NeXT available for mounting by other
- (non-NeXT) systems on the network. I have exported the CDROM directory and
- made sure that nfsd and mountd are running. When I try to mount it from
- another system I get an error message: "mount: access denied for ---"
- where --- is my system and directory name. I have tried exporting and
- mounting other file systems from the NeXT, and it works fine.
-
- A second question along the same lines is whether there is a way to get
- the CDROM to always mount under the same mount point (eg /cdrom) instead
- of under a mount point which is related to the name of the disk. The
- reason I would like to do this is so that the CDROM can always be mounted
- from another system by using the same name (assuming that I can mount it
- at all!).
-
- Your comments would be welcomed.
