- OK, the first thing you need to understand about the IIsi is that there is
- 1 MB of RAM permanently attached to the mother board. ie: a 5 MB IIsi has
- 1 MB on the board and 1 MB in each of the four memory SIMM slots.

- So, if your target memory is 8 MB you really have to head for 9 MB. The
- IIsi has ONE SIMM bank so all four of the SIMM slots must have identical
- RAM SIMMs. (That's straight from Tech Note #176.)

- So, to get 9 MB you have to put 2 MB SIMMs in all four slots.

- Now, 2 MB SIMM prices SUCK around here so I would seriously consider using
- 4 MB SIMMs and upgrading to 17 MB of total memory, but that's up to you.
