- I have a Seagate 1102A and a new Maxtor 7213A. I can not get them to work
- together in my system. Both work correctly by themselves, but when I
- put them together the maxtor is not recognized.
-
- I have the Seagate as the master and the maxtor as the slave. In this setup
- the seagate boots, but the maxtor is not recognized by the bios or an
- IDE infomation program.
-
- I've tried having the maxtor as the master, but nothing was recognized
- at all.
-
- Are the maxtor and Segate IDE's compatable?
-
- My system is a 386SX with
- AMI b&W SX bios ( rev 8)
- a generic IDE card
- Compaq DOS 3.31

-
- Thanks for the help.
