- Regarding the Rockwell chipset for 14.4k modems:

- I can not speak for anyone else, but my MaxLite144, based on
- the Rockwell chipset never gave me any problems, and can connect to
- any bboard that i have tried. It is a very nice product, the size of
- a cigarette pack, and has worked flawlessly for about a month now.
- Actually I am currently using it to type this message.

- The only problem that I have encountered seems software-related -
- I have found one fax modem that can not talk to MaxLite
- when running winfax. replacing the mod.exe of winfax with mod.exe
- that was recently posted seems to solve the problem.
