  14.     I would like to ask everyone out there in netland for
  15. their words of wisdom regarding a system I am thinking of
  16. buying.  
  17.     A mailorder company on East coast (Quantex) is selling a
  18. 386/40Mhz system which was rated very highly by PC Sources.  My
  19. question is has anybody dealt with Quantex, and if so, what are
  20. your impressions of their operation.
  21.     My second question is I am considering getting the same
  22. components as they use via a local (small) company, which
  23. therefore has the advantage of easy access if things go wrong.
  24. Is there any advice you can give me regarding this approach -
  25. with the same componenets can I expect a different performance?
  26.     The components I would like to use are as follows.
  27.         AMD 386 40Mhz chip
  28.         Western Digital 125 Mb HD
  29.         Diamond Speedstar Plus with Sierra HiColor
  30. RAMDAC
  31.         Intel Smart Cache chip..

  34.     I am new to the PC scene, so if anybody has anything bad
  35. to say against any of these, please let me know..
  36.     I am sorry if these questions are somewhat vague, but I
  37. have a million and one ideas about what to do..
