- I've got a PAS+ and PAS16, and experience some pretty serious background
- static/hiss when I sample files. I've tried various IRQ's, DMA'S,
- physical slots, and I'm running the latest DOS and Windows drivers, yet
- every time I sample something I can hear a constant hissing in the
- background. It's loud enough to seriously detract from the quality of
- the audio. Sample at 44kHz, 16-bit, doesn't seem to make any
- difference.. no combination of sampling rate and 8/16 bit mode seems to
- get rid of it. I'm recording off a CD player that's hooked up via the
- external jack..

- Anyone have similar problems and know the solution? Is this sort of
- thing actually NORMAL?
