- I have IBM PS/2 mod. 70-121 (20MHz 386DX), run Windows 3.1 and want to upgrade
- my DOS 4.01 to MS-DOS 5.0. Went to Egghead and learned there is a PS/2 specific
- version of DOS 5.0 upgrade (IBM DOS ???).
- My questions to Microsoft, IBM, and other knowledgable experts:
-
- 1. Do I need to buy PS/2 specific version or will the generic version do?
- 2. What are the differences between those two products?
- 3. What advantage(s), if any, does Windows 3.1 take of DOS 5.0?
- 4. Assuming I buy DOS 5.0, are there any special settings for it or WIndows 3.1
- to make the best use of the machine? What are they?
-
- Quick replies will be greatly appreciated. If sufficient amount of useful
- information arrives, I will summarize. Many thanks!
