  13. Question for you Crosstalk for Windows experts:

  15.    I am trying to connect my new V.32bis modem with older non-error-
  16. correcting modems, and I have the correct settings written to 
  17. alternate configuration register 1 (i.e. "ATZ1" correctly sets up the
  18. modem).

  20.    Since Crosstalk does not have a "terminal mode," where AT commands
  21. can be sent directly to the modem (as in QModem), I attempted to write
  22. a script.  After trying many different angles, such as changing the MODIFIER
  23. string, it would still automatically do an "ATZ" (instead of ATZ1) 
  24. every time I used the CALL or DIAL command.

  26.    So the overall problem statement is: Is there any way to associate a 
  27. particular modem configuration with a particular phone book entry?
  28.  
  29.    If you know how to do this in QModem as well, please let me know.
