  12. We hit a problem with the MX SMTP Server today. It received a message with an
  13. invalid address from our campus mailer, and instead of aborting the message in a
  14. tidy way it just rejected the message with status 20EC. This left the mailer
  15. thinking that the message had not been sent, so it requeued the message and
  16. tried to send it again 15 minutes later, when the same thing happened on the
  17. VAX.
