- I wrote a strange sentence here recently. I wrote something
- which appeared to say that Heisenberg was a victim of the
- 'doctrines he had taught'... I meant to write 'doctrines
- he had been taught'.

- My point was that if Heisenberg thought that Nazism was RATIONAL,
- but that, instead, we should be IRRATIONAL, then he was as much of
- an intellectual victim to the philosophical doctrines underlying
- Nazism as were the Nazis themselves. There is not much rationality
- to be found in the collectivist doctrines of Nazism or Italian
- Fascism.
