- In all fairness, I just picked up a book "Being Homosexual" by Richard A.
- Isay. The Homosexualities was done by the dominant camp in psychoanalytics
- which belives that homosexuality is a perversion and abberation, and this
- goes back to Freud. The same Pillard who reviewed the other book says
- "finally a psychoanalytic book that does not presume illness". However,
- Isay seems to be in a minority in his field in believing that being gay is
- both normal and healthy. So the "truth" is that it is still in dispute
- as to whether being gay is healthy or not, and there are "facts" on
- either side of the argument. Anyone who says the argument has been
- settled one way or the other is just being PC.
