  It appears to me most if not all of the damage can often be done by
other people.  When society chooses to label an otherwise good
relationship as "molestation" and tries to "treat" the unsuspecting
young "victim," that young person will almost certainly be harmed by
this.  Including picking up "dysfucntional attituded, beliefs about
self and others, etc," and certainly a twisted view of relationships.
  Now this is not to deny that actual molestation does exist, when one
person takes advantage of another.  But people being taken advantage
of exists at all ages and in all areas of human life.  When we
criminalize all sexual relationships below a certain age, we cause
more problems than we could hope to solve.
