  16. There's always the proposal that, alas, never got off the drawing
  17. board with the Avro Arrow (CF-105), which was seriously overpowered.
  18. Clamp the nosewheel, tilt the whole plane up to 35% on a ramp,
  19. cycle the engines all the way up, and pop the clamp.

  21. Doesn't help much for _landing_, but the the tilt-on-a-ramp
  22. proposal was a worked-out-the-numbers thing.
