  16.      Edit those videos that you have shot with your camcorder
  17. so that you can show them to your friends without them falling
  18. asleep.

  22.  * Controls a VCR or camcorder (Sony, or any other providing a
  23.       Control L or LANC connection) as a source, and a VCR or a
  24.       Camcorder (Sony and some others, see below) as a recorder.
  25.  * Performs "automatic assemble edits" by commanding the 
  26.       source deck to position the videotape to the "cut-in"
  27.       point while pausing the record deck. Then it "rolls"
  28.       both tapes to cause the scene to be transferred from
  29.       the source deck to the record deck. Finally, at the
  30.       "cut-out" point it pauses the record deck and commands
  31.       the sorce deck to reposition the tape to the next
  32.       "cut-in" point for the next scene.

  48.  * Memory for up to 8 scenes (cut-in and cut-out points) at
  49.       a time. 
  50.  * LCD display window to show the current command as well as
  51.       the edit list memory.

  54.  * Connections to VCRs/Camcorders:
  55.      Connects to source deck using CTRL L plug (Sony)
  56.      Connects to record deck using CTRL L  (Sony)

  58.             or Camera Remote (mini-jack)
  59.             (NOTE: according to the manual this mini-jack
  60.              connection can be used to control Panasonic VCRs
