  15. It certainly is, astonishingly loud and bright.  You can get a reasonably
  16. good view from Titusville or Cocoa Beach, just outside the KSC.  The "VIP"
  17. tickets, of thousands per launch are issued, let you go to a parking area
  18. inside the KSC but still miles away from the pad.

  20. If you call NASA a few months ahead, such tickets can often be had for
  21. the asking.  US citizens can also have their congressmen get them (see,
  22. they're good for something.)
