- I don't know a lot about the Nags Head area, but there are a couple of
- things you might want to check out. One is the Wright Brothers Memorial
- at Kitty Hawk, which is right next to Nags Head. There's a monument and
- museum there and it's pretty interesting. The other is Jockey's Ridge,
- (State Park?) which is a huge sand dune -- I think the largest on the
- east coast. This thing is BIG. You can go hang gliding off the dune and
- there's a nice view of the area from the top.
-
- Another place very near Nags Head is Roanoke Island, where Sir Walter
- Raleigh founded the first English colony in the new world. It's now
- known as the Lost Colony, because everyone mysteriously disappeared.
- There's also a North Carolina State Aquarium on Roanoke Island.
-
- I don't know about the night life in Nags Head, but you can probably
- find something going on.
