  21. In "38 Basic Joseki", after the move by White shown, various responses
  22. are given. Black replies at either a or b. Say Black plays at a, then
  23. White can play at A. Thereafter, the book gives a couple of continuations
  24. for Black.

  26. However, a move not covered is Black at c. It seems to me that this
  27. gives Black the potential for a strong outward facing wall with White
  28. trapped below. Alternatively, Black gains the corner while White lives
  29. on the side.
