- The recent discussion on "the future of the bike" has contained
- several interesting speculations on further development of
- bicycles.
-
- I am currently looking for an undergraduate thesis topic (mech E).
- I am looking for inovative (off the wall?) suggestions.
- An ideal topic would involve design of something USEFUL that
- is not currently in production, rather than merely a refinement of
- an extant product.
-
- One suggestion was to design and build a reasonably lightweight
- hydraulic transmission. I've seen reference to such a device
- on the net but I don't remember the specifics. Any information
- would be appreciated.
-
- Also, if anyone has an idea what companies might be interested
- in providing partial FUNDING (Specialized, Cannondale etc.) or names
- of people with this information, I would be appreciative.
-
-
- THANKS!
