- According to the article in VolksWorld the Mexican Beetles
- are manufactured with 1200 cc motors. As far as emissions go
- they do have a catalitic converter on them as of 1992 so
- Mexico can try to address it's smog problem. However, the
- engines are still carbureted, which would seem to me that
- the emissions are probably higher than US standards, then
- again, it may not be too difficult to adapt a Bosch
- K or KE system to a 1200cc motor.
