  11. My 82 Jetta has been erratic in its idle - sometimes its fine, then other times it's really low, and the car has absolutely no power.  My guess is a clogged fuel filter or the fuel pump about to go, but I did notice one thing:
  12. on the right hand side, where the FI stuff is, I notice a loud buzzing
  13. noise.  On my 86 GLI, I don't hear this , at least not as loudly.  Is this an indication of the problem.  While driving this morning, I also heard a *very* loud noise coming from that area, but it stopped before I could pull over.
