- I have a Ford Escort 87 and it has electronic ignition timing.

- Now the question:
- When a routine tune up is done, can the timing be changed?
- Or, is it necessary at all?

- I have to decide whether to change the spark plugs myself
- or take the car to the tune up shops and get it "professionally tuned".
