  13. I have a Ford Escort 87 and it has electronic ignition timing.

  15. Now the question: 
  16.      When a routine tune up is done, can the timing be changed?
  17.      Or, is it necessary at all?
  18.  
  19.     I have to decide whether to change the spark plugs myself
  20. or take the car to the tune up shops and get it "professionally tuned".
