- Keith, I really don't understand. Are you assuming that a woman will
- shortchange her job for her children? While you never said anything
- that could not apply to a man, if you're addressing this to both men
- and women, are both parents supposed to quit their software engineering
- jobs? And if you're addressing women only, why can't their partners (if
- they have one) take responsibility for half the family ailments?

- Somehow both my husband and I put in 10 hours a day on work and still
- manage to only have Austin in daycare only 7 hours M-F. It's called
- flextime, and more places should have it. We work hard, and I think the
- people at our workplace would agree. We're not that different than a whole
- lot of people in computing, either.
