- Or share in the CBE costs with a friend(s). I know someone doing this

- Whoaaaa, Wait a minute... Would you try to pass an exam in a class without
- going to the class, or at least studying the materials? I know that the
- tests seem to ask some rather obscure questions, but my experience has
- been that the questions were either outlined in the course book or in the
- manuals that they supply with the course book. I agree that taking the
- courses *is* the best way, and you should at least have the course books
- to have a fighting chance, but it sounds like your frustration might be
- coloring your opinions a tiny bit.
-
- The CNE certification is Novell's stamp of approval that you know what your
- talking about. IMHO they have to have some way to guarantee that you do.
- Maybe asking obscure questions is the best way, maybe not... and I was
- frustrated by it when I was taking the tests also... But, if their
- intention was to make sure I knew my stuff, they certainly did that! I
- studied for 2-3 weeks, 1-2 hours EVERY night. And I gotta tell you, when I
- got done I LEARNED a lot.
-
- That 3.11 Adv. Sys. Man. was a tough one! I think it was the hardest test
- of all of them.
-
- Also bear in mind that the tests will NOT be based on your personal
- experience. They are based on the course materials because IMHO that
- is what Novell wants you to know. Thus... you will need the course
- material unless you know EVERYTHING about Netware.

- I sincerely hope you get your CNE.
-
- Good Luck.
