- Sam, you've basically got two choices, or one choice and a chance basically.
- The Sharp JX100 is 18bit color and limited to 6x4 inch scanning, but does a
- very nice job. I've seen it sell for less than $300 here and there. The
- next choice/chance is the Epson es300c from someplace selling them cheap. I
- haven't seen them under $500, but darned close in Computer Shopper and other
- mail order oriented PC magazines.

- Once you have the scanner, allow me to suggest ImageFX as your scanner
- control program of choice. It comes with modules to control BOTH of these
- scanners, as well as 24bit painting, image processing and many other features
- all included for one low price. About $250 mail order I believe.
