- Yesterday I posted two questions about DPAINT IV.
-
- The first question involved using DCTV files converted to HAM. I
- created an empty 15 frame animation in DPAINT IV and tried to load the
- files into their respective places in the 15 frame sequence.
- Unfortunately, the pallets were all different so the colors were
- bizarre. Several people suggested that I use an image processing
- program to lock the pallet and use remap so that all succeeding files
- used the same pallet. I used ADPRO and within a few minutes all 15
- frames were using the same pallet. I was able to load the 15 frames
- into the anim sequence in DPAINT. I am not sure why the remap
- function in DPAINT did not work, but ADPRO was so quick and easy that
- I probably would be better off doing it that way anyway.
-
- One down, one to go.
-
- The other question is how do I create a 4096 color pallet in DPAINT IV. Or
- is 256 the highest number of colors in a pallet? If this is true, does that
- mean that the way I get the extra 3800 or so colors in HAM mode is by using
- the MIXING COLOR option? It probably makes more sense for me to convert
- the finished anim sequence back into indivual files and work on them in
- DCTV paint.
