  23. I have sucessfully connected two 2400-baud modems with just a cable -
  24. it took a little trickery and manual manipulation via the AT commands
  25. on both ends, but I was in a pinch and it worked.  Obviously, dialing
  26. and auto-answer cannot be done this way.
