- OK, 1CA is *on* SQLPK. However, that doesn't say anything about what the
- volume label *for* 1CA is, and the DIRECTXA command (or the DIRECT command,
- no different) cares not a whit that 1CA is on some larger pack whose label
- is SQLPK. :-)

- Run CPFMTXA (or the equivilent) against 1CA and see make sure it's
- formatted in CP format and labeled. Also, make sure it's allocated with
- DRCT space, not, say, PERM. :-) I'll bet that's your problem right there.
