  14. I am currently  doing analysis on data in order to validate a measure of
  15. justification of violence toward children (MJVC).  At this phase,
  16. I am performing factor analysis on the 72 items included in the measure.
  17. Six hundred and twelve persons answered the MJVC.

  19. I'm using SPSS on a IRIX 4.0 system

  21.     I am  continuously getting the following warning message:

  23. Warning # 11302
  24.     the correlation matrix is ill-conditioned
  25.  
  26.      I would be very pleased if someone could inform me about what causes
  27. this warning to appear and consequently what to do in order to correct this
  28. situation.
