- As a new subscriber I guess I should introduce myself: my name is
- Andras Kornai, and I'm working as a computational linguist at
- Calera Recognition Systems, an optical character recognition
- company. I joined the list to find out what electronic resources
- are available for those interested in Burmese, Khmer, Laotian,
- in the form of word-processors, spell-checkers, dictionaries,
- screen fonts, or just on-line text. Are there ftp sites for
- such material, or people who could make something available
- (possibly for a fee) over the net? I am particularly interested
- in machine-readable texts in any of these languages, and in
- learning about ascii transliteration schemes (if there are
- more or less standard ones) -- any help would be greatly
- appreciated. Thanks in advance,
- Andras Kornai (andras@calera.com)
