- I believe the answer is no, but I'm not 100% certain. If anyone
- knows better, feel free to correct me. My impression is that SAS
- uses expanded memory to load the program (executable) code, thereby
- freeing up main dos (i.e. < 640k) memory for calculations. One
- option is to make sure that you have weaned everything you can from
- main memory. There should be nothing there but absolutely necessary
- functions and the expanded memory driver. No TSRs. Running a SAS
- job as a batch job from the command line will save you the memory
- overhead required by the Display Manager. If you still have the
- problem, you may need a different platform to do this job. Of course
- SAS for OS/2 doesn't suffer from this silly memory limitation;
- neither does SAS/Windows I believe.
