  12.      I have a graduate student that would really like to use SAS for the
  13. following problem and I don't know where to send him in the FM to
  14. begin this problem.

  16.       SAS platforms we have available are SAS on cms -- 6.07 on a
  17. small ibm 4381, pc sas and os/2 sas --- 6.06.
  18.  
  19.       He has animal data with beginning and ending dates on trial.  Some
  20. animals will start on the same day, but most end on different days.  In
  21. another file he has daily weather information.  He needs to find the
  22. average weather information for each animal given their beginning and
  23. ending dates  (on average 3 months worth of weather data) on trial.

  25.       Any clues?  Any suggstions?  I suggested he write a FORTRAN program
  26. but he is vehemently against that idea.  Any suggestions for him will be
  27. greatly appreciated.
