  21. The Library of Congress Cataloging Directorate will be issuing an
  22. electronic newsletter, LC Cataloging Newsline, through an
  23. Internet Listserv list.  The newsletter will be compiled at least
  24. quarterly and will contain information about cataloging
  25. activities at LC of interest to the library community.   We will
  26. announce availability of the newsletter when the installation of
  27. the Listserv software is completed. In the meantime, we  posted
  28. our first issue to AUTOCAT@uvmvm.bitnet on January 15, 1993. It
  29. is also available to Internet users through anonymous FTP using
  30. the following commands:
  31. 1. At your system prompt, enter: ftp seq1.loc.gov
  32.      or, ftp 140.147.3.12
  33. 2. At the name prompt, enter: anonymous
  34. 3. At the password prompt, enter your Internet address
  35. 4. At the ftp> prompt, enter: cd pub/coop.cataloging/docs
  36. 5. Request file by entering: get lccn.news
  37. 6. After transfer, enter: quit
  38.  
  39. NOTE: in the ftp address "seq1.loc.gov", "seq" is followed by the
  40. digit "1", not the letter "l".
