- Dear Sir:
-
- I only meant that after the teachers who orginally
- resisted the new technologies (computers) when it was first
- introduced in our system have for the most part adapted to
- computers in classroom and now find them an invaluable part of
- the education process. The reference to the others retired
- simply meant that the ones who would or could not adapt were
- for the most part close to "retirement age" or retired. They
- were not forced out. I personally do not believe you can
- force/make anyone to learn something they do not desire to
- learn. I have encouraged many people to try it. Typically,
- after they once tried it and discovered that it wouldn't blow
- up or smoke wouldn't roll out of it; they generally cuaght on
- to the many possibilities and uses. Most now find computer use
- essential.
