- Just a guess, but if the D.O.M. is Dominus Omnium Magister, perhaps the S.is fo
- r Summus or Supremus. We should have Luis Gamez at Fordham make some inquiries
- amongst the Jesuit scholars. I have no idea how common the D.O.M.S was as an
- inscription, whether it is the abbreviation for a phrase or pious ejaculation
- or what. The possibilities are infinite at this point.
