  13. Just a guess, but if the D.O.M. is Dominus Omnium Magister, perhaps the S.is fo
  14. r Summus or Supremus. We should have Luis Gamez at Fordham make some inquiries
  15. amongst the Jesuit scholars.  I have no idea how common the D.O.M.S was as an
  16. inscription, whether it is the abbreviation for a phrase or pious ejaculation
  17. or what.  The possibilities are infinite at this point.
